In the Great Synagogue of the Jewish Museum, experience a mystical dance performance in which the synagogue comes to life. This beautiful building from 1671, now an exhibition space of the museum, is the setting for a journey through Jewish traditions and the history of Jews in the Netherlands. Dancer Dora Almeleh performs here no less than three times a day.
Performances are at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. and last 15 minutes - plenty of opportunity to attend.
Dora Almeleh was born and raised in Brussels. In 2020, she graduated from the Maslool Professional Dance Program in Tel Aviv and began dancing with the Ballet Junior de Genève. In 2021, she joined the SUB.LAB.PRO ensemble. Since 2023, she has been based in Brussels and has worked with various choreographers and creators.
Through dance, she plays with the connection between the inner self, the physical body and the environment. Don't miss it - imagine yourself in another world for a moment.
