Spiritual museum transforms into rich theater

The Luther Museum was once a Lutheran hospice for the elderly, women and orphans. Can you still feel the echoes of the past in this extraordinary building? Come discover it for yourself during the Spirit of Amsterdam. Especially for this evening, several young creators depict the genius loci, or spirit of the former nursing home. An evening of theater, music and visual art.

In the garden, enjoy an amazing performance by Lisette Ros, while visual artist Benjamin Francis makes an interesting intervention in the regents' rooms. Don't miss the enchanting singing by mezzo-soprano Jasperina Verheij, who performs old songs again in the building. In addition, young Lutheran pastor André van der Stoel will give a short and fascinating lecture in the linen room on a work of art by Koen Taselaar. Finally, we unveil a new permanent artwork in the museum garden: a beautiful name necklace for the old ash tree, created by Suzie van Staaveren.

This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy art, music and inspiring conversations - don't miss it.
