In a time of harsh measures and harsh language about refugees, we want to use the Refugee Symposium to present a different voice. This event focuses on the soft forces in our society: empathy, compassion and the beautiful willingness to meet and understand each other We want to inspire young Amsterdammers, policy makers and social partners to actively contribute to an inclusive society where everyone feels welcome. By sharing stories and facilitating encounters, we aim to raise awareness and positive change in our attitudes towards refugees.
