Apostolic Society

The Amsterdam-North community has existed since 1921, after the municipality of Amsterdam started building north of Het IJ starting in 1913. The meeting place was inaugurated on December 22, 1934. A renovation took place in 2005, preserving the original character of openness and light. The community consists of about 100 people and is characterized by a great sense of belonging. Not only in its own building, where we sympathize with each other, inspire each other and are close to each other, but also in the contacts with society, to which we feel strongly a part. The liberal character of this community is expressed in the way in which worship services and other meetings are conducted. Here we also think about the youth. Every week there is a meeting in which a lot of energy is put into. Singing and music are highly valued.
