Church Center The New City belongs to four religious groups and is home to more than thirteen diverse religious communities. It is a place where people not only practice their religion. It is also a refuge and a place where people can get help. Not just on Sundays, the hall comes alive with activities during the week as well. Various church members gather around noon to prepare and share meals. Then the room smells deliciously of homemade food. These lunches, open to all, serve an important social function and provide nourishment for both body and mind. By offering meals and hospitality, the church center encourages people to come out of isolation, promotes community building and has a positive impact on the Bijlmermeer community.
