The Grote of Laurenskerk is a church building on the Kerkstraat/Nieuwstraat in the center of the North Holland town of Weesp. The church was built as a late Gothic cruciform church between 1429 and 1462, on the site where a Romanesque church had previously stood. In 1577, the church passed into Protestant hands. In the process, much of the church furniture was lost, but the Gothic choir screen was preserved. Above in the Romanesque tower, a remnant of the earlier church, is a carillon, which was cast in 1671 by the famous bell-founder Pieter Hemony of Amsterdam. The church building is a national monument. It is used by the Protestant Congregation of Weesp and Driemond.
