The Krijtberg or St. Francis Xavier Church is a Roman Catholic rectory church in the center of Amsterdam, dedicated to St. Francis Xavier. It is served by priests of the Society of Jesus, better known as the Jesuits. The church stands on the Singel and is part of inner-city parish of St. Nicholas. The Krijtberg is the successor to a shelter church that had been located in a house named Crijtberg since 1654 and was served by Jesuits. Construction of the present church began in 1881.
