The Luther Museum Amsterdam, the former name was Luther Collection Amsterdam, is a museum that aims to acquaint the public with Lutheranism in the Netherlands and Amsterdam, the role of Wittenberg as a center of government and the works of the diaconate in the past and present, with a collection of art and historical objects related to Lutheranism. It has been assembled in the regent rooms of building Wittenberg, located on the Nieuwe Keizersgracht in Amsterdam. Here Lutheran heritage is managed, exhibited and preserved for the future. This collection expresses the history of Dutch Lutheranism and the diaconal tasks carried out by this denomination.
