Uilenburg Shul

The Uilenburger Synagogue or Uilenburgersjoel is a synagogue on Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat on the island of Uilenburg in the former Amsterdam Jewish Quarter. The synagogue was built in Louis XV style in 1766 for Ashkenazi Jews. The progressive Jewish community Beit Ha'Chidush has met there several times a month since 1997. It also hosts musical performances and other gatherings.
